Our primary interest in following the commentary about the truth and proof of The Da Vinci Code has been to learn how others might describe the history of the cryptex. Surprisingly, there has been almost no reference to the cryptex in the more than 90 books published about The Da Vinci Code. As a result, we are very interested in seeing how the The Da Vinci Code movie (due for release in May of 2006, directed by Ron Howard and with Tom Hanks as the lead character) deals with the cryptex.
